The hype of a new year can easily make us think we can magically start new, start over, began again. And we have great intentions, but as the newness of the “new” year wears off we often realize most times nothing new has really happened in us. We are programmed by culture with the idea of newness that really takes away from the true fact that we really can’t see without the word of God. So, let’s strip away all the hype about a new decade, about a new year, about having 20/20 vision to play off the year we are in, and really think… meditate… focus… see… where we are. Not in the reality of the natural, but in the realm of the spiritual. I am sure we all can relate to many moments where we just couldn’t see past the day, or the current hour we are in because life is soooooo soooo much. Making it hard to see… focus… meditate… and even think BIG.
The truth Is the only way we are going to see anything change, anything gets better, anything get BIG is to see by the faith through the Word of God. Yea, sounds churchy, and very Christianesey I know. BUT we need to know were 20/20 vision comes from. You will have to open your Bible for this: Jeremiah 29:11 is a declaration from our God to encourage us to see. Joshua 1:8 is the instruction that leads to 20/20 vision. Hebrews 11:1 dares us to use faith to see. Numbers 23:19 lets you know the goodness of God to us is settled, so see it! When you can’t see BIG with 2020 vision declare Isaiah 40:31 over yourself, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint. “
My prayer is that the Holy Spirit who the revealer of all things causes us to have a true unquenchable spiritual hunger to see as we seriously devote ourselves to spending time in the word with prayer and fasting. Don’t regret not seeing this decade, as you did the last. Allow God to do BIG things through you as you gain much clarity by the word of God.
