Why is the symbol of marriage represented by the weakest finger of the hand? Our answer is that marriage is a delicate framework that needs constant support, care, and attention. The ring worn on that finger serves as a continuous reminder to guard and protect our commitment to God and to each other.
The ring guard is a device in the middle of a ring anchored to both sides to keep it from swinging around, slipping off the finger temporarily or being permanently lost.
Therefore, we have deemed Christ “The Ring Guard" in the center of our marriages, anchored to both partners, and keeping our vows of commitment from being loose, swinging around, slipping and sliding, or being permanently lost. You, me, and Christ makes three. Remember, Ecclesiastes 4:12 says "A threefold cord is not easily broken."
