40 And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was baptizing at first, and there He stayed. 41 Then many came to Him and said, “John performed no sign, but all the things that John spoke about this Man were true.” 42 And many believed in Him there.

The world lives for shiny, sparkling and spectacular things. The glitz, glamour and gold! Always looking for the next best thing. Often, Christians desire the same. We need to see “signs and wonders” in order to believe. Jesus spoke about this in earlier chapters in the book of John. Signs do matter, especially on the road when you are driving a vehicle. The signs assist us with getting to our destination safely. Experienced drivers put their trust in the signs. However, the text informs us in verse 41, “John performed no sign.” Unlike Moses, Elijah, and Elisha, John the Baptist did not perform any signs to cause someone to believe in his ministry, yet all that he said about Jesus came to pass.

Verse 41, “but all the things that John spoke about this Man were true.” Therefore, don't underestimate your ability to encourage someone to find Jesus. You may not have the fancy words nor be able to preach like TD Jakes. You may not be able to sing like Elder Monica Hall or write poetry like Minister James “Holy Smokes” Claiborne. However, the biggest sign that you can ever show
anyone is your life is how you treat people. Your sign is how you
love people. Your sign is how you show grace to others.

John 10

These are the greatest signs that you could ever give to
someone. Give people the truth about Jesus Christ. And what he

Father except through Me.” - John 14:6 (NKJV)
