He Knows

John 6:41-42 (NKJV)

41 The Jews then complained about Him, because He said, “I am the bread which came down from heaven.” 42And they said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How is it then that He says, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

Have you ever been rejected? Has someone ever turned his or her back on you? If you are breathing, the answer is “yes.” When you allow rejection to dominate your life, you then become a person who lives for acceptance, which can become toxic. In verse 42, you see how they attempted to downsize Jesus platform and with His parents and an association of a controversial engagement and birth. Many people did not want to believe that Mary was pregnant by the Holy Spirit. Therefore, they tried to discredit and discourage Jesus. Now think about people in your life that may be family, friends or foes that try to bring up your past failures.

When you finally make a decision to live a life above and beyond mediocrity, the average person will do their very best to keep you down or just turned their back on you. Perhaps the person who comes against you could be the very person God uses to get you to your destiny. Therefore, I say to you that rejection is not always final or fatal. It is just part of the process you have to go through to reach your best. It teaches you to trust the process.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NKJV)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own
understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct
your paths.

Remember, God is directing your path and sometimes in life man's rejection is God acceptance. In Isaiah 53:3 we are reminded, by accepting God’s word and God’s ways that rejection comes with the territory.

Isaiah 53:3 (NKJV)

He is despised and rejected by men, a Man of sorrows and acquainted
with grief.

In order to graduate from average into your greatness, you must deal with rejection. Rejection from God's perspective can help you develop into the person God wants you to become. Therefore, walk in your greatness and don't allow someone's opinion of you to become your reality.

You are who God says you are!

This year, 2018 you will live a life of “Above and Beyond!”

Confess that, Believe that, Received that, and Be that!

Heavenly Father, teach me how to handle rejection, knowing that Jesus had been rejected by so many, yet He did not waiver nor doubt Himself. Holy Spirit, strengthen me so I can deal with rejection, knowing that I am accepted by You and that is greater. In Jesus Name, Amen
