WOW! WOW! WOW!  There is so much in this chapter that it just blows my mind!  One thing God emphasizes in this chapter is PREPARATION.  It is found in verse 2.

“In my Father’s house are many mansions:  if it were not so, I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you.”

Prepare means to make ready for something in advance.

I want to ask you what do you believe God is preparing you to do?  We already know what he is preparing for you, but what is HE preparing you to do.

“People don’t prepare to fail, they fail to prepare.”   - John Wooden

God puts a premium on PREPARATION.

Our entire life is on the job training (preparation) for the next world.  Everything we go through is preparation for our next assignment in God.

One thing that’s for sure is that when God is dealing with His people,

Pastor Duncan has been teaching us about challenge and change.  He has declared that this is the year for challenge and change.  If you’re not being challenged then you’re not being changed.

When we are challenged it puts a demand on the greatness of God on the inside of us, and causes us to be changed into the image of Christ.

So remember the next time you are going through something:

  1. It’s been tailored made for you

  2. It’s temporary

  3. It’s working in you an eternal weight of glory. 2 Cor. 4:17

While we are fasting get all you can get out of it.  Fasting is not for God, but it is for us, because it puts us in a position to have a greater sensitivity to the Will of God for our lives.

Remember God is preparing you for something GREAT!
